Season:  Spring - Middle School, 4th Quarter, estimated season dates April 14, 2025 - June 3, 2025 (subject to change around athletic season window)

Salary:  $2,393 - $2,850 per the 2024-25 Salary Schedule. Hourly rate/stipend amount is dependent on experience.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will:
• have demonstrated successful coaching experience, either at the head or assistant level;
• meet or be willing to meet the Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association coaching certification standard;
• Must be at least 21 years of age;
• Valid Washington state teacher certification preferred;
• Employment as a teacher or substitute teacher in Snohomish School District preferred;
• Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport preferred;
• Substantial knowledge of technical aspects of the sport preferred;
• Willingness to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the sport;
• Possess or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certificates;
• HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B training.

• MCJROTC instructor certification.
• Ability to obtain, with District’s assistance, a valid Washington State teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.
• One of the following:
• Warrant Officer (without a college degree) or
• SNCO with at least 20 years active duty or
• Temporary Early Retirement Authority (TERA) program with 15 or more years of active duty and eligible to receive retirement pay
• Confirmed retirement date from Manpower Management Separation and Retirement Branch.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Building Administrator and Special Education Teacher, will assist with individualized and small group instruction for students of all educational levels who have physical or behavioral needs or are medically fragile. Paraeducators assist students with the unique needs outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEP). This vital role involves providing direct support to students, helping them access their education through academic support, behavior management, and fostering independence. While you may work one-on-one with a student or within small groups, it is important to note that assignments are not fixed to specific students. Staff members are assigned based on current needs and teacher discretion, which allows us to adapt and reassign support to maximize effectiveness for all students. This position requires effective collaboration with other staff to implement necessary accommodations and strategies that promote student success. Hours:  Bus drivers typically begin as a substitute for regular drivers. Bus driver candidates must complete a Driver Training program prior to beginning as a substitute driver. Daily hours and routes may vary. Work is performed Monday thru Friday, split shifts, 4-6 hours/day.

Pay Rate:  $31.47 to $35.36/hour per PSE 2024-2025 Salary Schedule, effective 9/1/24.
Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation.
• $20.00/hour during the Driver Training period
• $31.47/hour Substitute Bus Driver
• $500 one-time bonus upon successful completion of training and 60 work days of driving for the district

Qualifications:  
• Valid Washington State driver's license. 
• Have at least five years of experience as a licensed driver of a passenger vehicle.
• Clean driving record (e.g., offenses committed within the last 5 years which would be grounds for disqualification include but are not limited to: suspended license, 3 or more speeding tickets, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving. (WAC 392-144-101)
• Pass a criminal background/fingerprint check.
• Willing to obtain a Commercial Driver's License - all necessary training will be provided by the School District.
• Submit to random drug tests after hire.
• Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.

Certification/License: Valid WA State Teaching Certification with appropriate endorsement

Education:  Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching/educational assignment.
