Job Summary: This is a 1.0 FTE continuing contract position for a JROTC Marine Corps Instructor. Under the direction of the Principal, responsible for helping students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible citizens. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description. 

Salary Range: $73,120 - $145,176 (2024-2025 school year) per the Snohomish Education Association Total Compensation Salary Schedule. Placement on the salary schedule is determined by official documentation verifying educational level and work experience. Salary will be prorated for less than a full-year and/or part-time employees.

Contract: 180-days

Qualifications: 
• Minimum of MCJROTC Category III – Marines in pay grade E5 and above who have separated with 8+ years of active service and who have no more than 5 years since separation for active duty. (see MCJROTC.org - Instructor Qualifications)
• MCJROTC instructor certification.
• Ability to obtain, with District’s assistance, a valid Washington State teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.
• One of the following:
• Warrant Officer (without a college degree) or
• SNCO with at least 20 years active duty or
• Temporary Early Retirement Authority (TERA) program with 15 or more years of active duty and eligible to receive retirement pay
• Confirmed retirement date from Manpower Management Separation and Retirement Branch.
• Retiring or transferring to the Fleet Marine Corps Reserve (FMCR) as a SNCO with at least 20 years active service and eligible for either retirement pay or retainer pay upon EAS.
• High school graduate.  Complete and Associates Degree within 5 years of hire.
• Physically qualified according to MCJROTC standards (see Marine Corps JROTC Instructor Personal Appearance and Grooming Standards)
