  •   Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Advancement Director to lead the school’s fundraising, marketing, and community engagement efforts. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the school’s financial sustainability by developing and executing a comprehensive advancement strategy. The Advancement Director will cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, oversee fundraising initiatives and enrollment efforts while enhancing  the school’s visibility within the community. The position also focuses on building and maintaining strong, lasting relationships with potential, current, and alumni families—ensuring they feel connected, valued, and engaged in the life and mission of the school.     Key Responsibilities

     

    Fundraising & Development

     
    • Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to support the school’s annual fund, capital campaigns, and special initiatives.
    • Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with donors, alumni, parents, and community partners.
    • Lead and manage all aspects of annual giving, including major gifts, planned giving, and corporate sponsorships.
    • Oversee grant research and applications to secure additional funding opportunities.
     

    Marketing & Communications

     
    • Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance enrollment, engagement, and fundraising efforts.
    • Manage the school’s brand, ensuring consistent messaging across digital, print, and social media platforms.
    • Create compelling content for newsletters, press releases, and donor communications.
    • Maintain and update the school’s website and social media presence to strengthen community outreach.
     

    Enrollment, Recruitment, & Retention

     
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive enrollment management strategy to achieve annual admissions goals and support long-term school growth.
    • Lead the full admissions process from inquiry to enrollment, ensuring a mission-aligned and welcoming experience for prospective families.
    • Plan and execute recruitment initiatives such as open houses, school tours, digital campaigns, and community outreach.
    • Utilize social media, digital platforms, and traditional marketing to highlight the school’s unique value proposition.
    • Design and manage retention strategies focused on student and family engagement, satisfaction surveys, and onboarding support.
    • Coordinate retention-focused events, including welcome programs, family socials, and new student support activities.
    • Monitor and analyze enrollment and attrition data to identify trends and address areas of concern.
     

    Event Planning & Community Engagement

     
    • Plan and oversee key fundraising and community events, including the annual auction, annual fund, Fun Run and donor appreciation events.
    • Work closely with the school’s leadership team, parent organizations, and volunteers to foster a culture of philanthropy.
    • Strengthen alumni relations through targeted outreach and engagement initiatives.
     

    Strategic Leadership & Administration

     
    • Collaborate with the principal, business manager, and school commission to align advancement efforts with financial and strategic goals.
    • Manage the advancement budget and provide regular reports on fundraising progress and donor engagement metrics.
    • Oversee donor database management, ensuring accurate records of contributions and stewardship activities.
     

    Qualifications & Experience

     
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or advancement, preferably in a school or nonprofit setting.
    • Proven track record in donor relations, grant writing, and event planning.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Proficiency in donor management software.
    • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
     

    Preferred Qualifications

     
    • Experience in marketing, public relations, or enrollment management.
    • Familiarity with Catholic school advancement best practices.
    • Knowledge of QuickBooks and basic financial reporting.
    Salary: The salary range for this position is $28.85–$41.35 per hour. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills, and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
