The Position
We are seeking a learning specialist who will provide individual or group support for students in PreK-8^th grade.

Job Responsibilities
• Understand issues in definition and identification procedures for individuals with learning disabilities
• Plan effective instructional strategies for adapting or modifying general curriculum to meet the needs of individual students
• Become familiarized with the various curriculum used throughout the school including being trained in IEW, Saxon Phonics, and Singapore Math
• Interpret, schedule and prepare for IEP or 504 meetings with parents, principal, and lead teacher
• Create Private School Plans for students after performing in-class observations, data collection and assessments
• Implement Tier 1-3 intervention strategies for both push-in and pull-out services
• Propose curriculum changes for needed individuals
• Monitor student progress by taking frequent data to evaluate if learning strategies and instructional approaches are effective
• Engage in professional development to stay up to date on strategies and services
• Implement individual behavioral interventions plans (BIP) for given students
• Create a weekly schedule that will accommodate lead teachers’ schedules
• Provide continuous training and oversee the duties of the aide assigned to the resource room, including review of their weekly data collection
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents in a timely manner both in person and through written communication
Minimum Qualifications
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; Masters preferred
• Hold a teaching certificate in WA state/other state or working towards one
• Be a practicing Catholic willing to pledge fidelity to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church
• Clear a background check and complete Safe Environment training
Salary
Full-Time $40,000 - $55,000
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.

Job Description
Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic School seeks a part-time teacher to instruct Kindergarten through Eighth Grade students in music. Each grade level is instructed in music twice a week.

Job Responsibilities
•Teach in the Catholic Liberal Education method or willing to learn this pedagogy that fosters a connection to God through music
•Demonstrate effective and concise verbal and written communication skills
•Create weekly lesson plans to be submitted to administration for review
•Introduce students to different genres of music, performers, and styles
•Develop basic vocal instruction all the way up to high level choir techniques
•Teach musical concepts such as pitch, rhythm, and music notation
•Provide instruction in sacred music and all Mass parts in all grades
•Prepare weekly a 5-8th Grade choir to sing at school Mass
•Evaluate student performance and provide a summative grade for each trimester report card
•Establish clear expectations, procedures, and routines for virtuous student behavior within the classroom and reinforce schoolwide behavior expectations
•Collaboratively organize an Advent Concert and Spring Concert
•Organize performances for the Saints and Scholars Gala (school annual fundraiser)
•Attend all school wide professional development within the year
•Attend school staff meetings twice a month
•Desire to work as part of an instructional team that desires to foster a love of learning in all disciplines

Minimum Qualifications
•A minimum of two years teaching experience preferably in a Catholic school

Job Description
Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic School is a PreK-8 school in Bremerton Washington. OLSOS seeks a full-time teacher to instruct Humanities classes with a focus on History and Composition for the year 2025/2026. The ideal candidate will encourage a love of history, literature and writing among our middle school students while sharing the love of the Catholic faith and modeling a life of virtue.

Job Responsibilities
• Having an ability to form and guide students in the Catholic faith
• Instructing in the Catholic liberal arts method or willing to learn this method of instruction
• Conducting Socratic seminar lessons on a regular basis
• Executing excellent communication skills with administration, parents, students, and colleagues
• Maintaining ongoing records of student behavioral and academic progress, documenting concerns, providing feedback to students and regularly communicating student progress with parents and school administration
• Having the ability to plan and implement lessons for students in 6-8 grade in the disciplines of history, literature and writing

The Position:
The school Principal is a disciple on mission to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who meets the requirements to administer the overall educational program in a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Seattle, and to lead and disciple others within the Catholic school to create a real “family” and community on mission for the Church.
 
As the leader of the school, the principal plays a critical role in safeguarding and promoting the mission and vision of the school directing it’s activity, learning, teaching, culture, and formation towards those aims.
 
Essential Duties:
• The principal is responsible for directing all work of the school and providing opportunities to students for Catholic growth, and in ministering to students and staff.

• The principal is expected to abide by the policies and procedures of the local school, the Archdiocese of Seattle, and the Office of Catholic Schools.
• The principal interacts with the Pastor and relates to students, parents, parish and school community, and works with the School Leadership Team and School (parent) Commission to accomplish the mission of the School.
