Current Valid Idaho Educational Credential with Ag Science endorsement required.
Position includes 7 weeks (35 days) summer contract.
Burley High School is seeking a talented and excited individual to help complete our ag teacher team. This individual will hold a current secondary teaching certification qualifying them to teach, Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, or Fabrication Welding or Animal and Plant Science or the willingness to obtain this certification. This position can be tailored to the strengths of the successful candidate. Courses taught may include: Introduction to Agriculture, Food Science, Livestock Management, Fish and Wildlife Management and Landscape Design, or Ag Welding, Ag Mechanics or Ag Fabrication. The successful candidate wil have access to amazing facilities including multiple greenhouses,a large, well outfitted welding and fabrication shop, food science laboratory, animal arena complete with animal handling equipment, 3 acre land lab, orchard and garden plot. Burley sits in the heart of a thriving agricultural region. The community is very supportive of the FFA program and supports students with their Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE').
Salary based upon impending year certified Career Ladder salary schedule.
