  •   Hampton School District - SAU 90 has an opening for a full-time Math Teacher at Hampton Academy, grades 6-8, for the 2025-26 school year. A full job description is attached.

    NH certification required.  Compensation, benefits, and other employment details are consistent with the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Hampton School Board and the Seacoast Education Association.  That document can be reviewed on the SAU 90 website under Operations/Human Resources.

    Position Purpose
    • Provide an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving that assures an equal opportunity to learn for all students
    • Knowledgeable of current best learning practices, develops and implements plans, units, and learning activities based on those practices
    • Instruct students using developmentally appropriate materials, models, and methodology
    • Contribute to a caring collegial school environment that supports professional sharing or ideas, materials, and methods
    • Supervise students in a manner that assures a safe learning environment for all students
    • Present oneself as a positive role model for students
    • Knowledgeable of special education laws and regulations and participate in building level special education processes as required to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans
    • Develop and implement special accommodations and/or modifications of curricula materials, models, methodology, assignments, and assessments to meet individual needs of students
    • Assess student achievement using a variety of curriculum-based assessment procedures
    • Refer students not making adequate progress to the appropriate child study team
    • Attend team, department, subject area, curriculum, and other professional staff meetings
    • Share appropriate student and professional information with colleagues to assure coordinated teaching/learning strategies
    • Assist students with subject area problems after school, as appropriate
    • Participate in school sponsored activities on an equitable basis
    • Participate in and comply with the SAU90 Professional Staff Development process
    • Maintain appropriate credentialing as required by the NH Department of Education or other appropriate agency
    • Enforce school rules and regulations fairly and equitably
    • Develop and maintain ongoing communications with parents including the sharing of instructional strategies, and participate in open house and other parent/teacher conferences and events as appropriate
    • Abide by school rules and regulations as defined by school board policy, and state and federal laws related to education and the rights of individuals
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the building Principal
    Education
    • Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
