  •   Hampton School District, SAU 90 has an administrative opening for a Director of Technology beginning July 1, 2025. This is a full-year position with a competitive salary and benefits package including health and dental insurance, participation in the NH Retirement System, life and LTD insurance, vacation and sick leave, and paid holidays.

    Primary Purpose
    Under the general supervision of the Superintendent, to oversee and administer the functions and operations of the school district's Information Technology Systems and technology activities, integrating technology into District functions and education, assessing the effectiveness of school district's technology infrastructure and security, providing recommendations regarding potential hardware and software upgrades, and maintaining the proper functioning of all computer systems.

    QUALIFICATIONS:    Possesses excellent written and verbal skills
                                        A Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or Master’s preferred
                                        Experience in school setting preferred
                                        Experience in grant writing preferred
                              
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Responsible for all matters relating to and compliance of policies, laws, procedures, mandate, official initiatives, training, hardware, software, networks, and services as they pertain to the use of computers
    • Coordinates the organization and administration of technology services to students, faculty, and administration
    • Facilitates the development, implementation, and evaluation of a District Technology Action Plan and long range planning
    • Facilitates training and support to ensure teaching, learning, and assessment of established competencies
    • Administers, maintains, and supports all in-house computer hardware, software and related support services, including but not limited to: grade reporting, scheduling, student information systems, software/equipment security, attendance, progress reports, management forms, statistical analysis, telecommunications access and support, assessment support using formative and summative assessment software, web site management, mobile apps, network services, preventive maintenance, LAN services
    • Evaluates technology hardware, programs, and personnel
    • Prepares and presents technology department budget and Board reports
    • Collaborates with Curriculum Leaders to research best practices for use and integration of technology to increase student achievement
    • Chairs a District Technology Committee and communicates regularly with the Hampton Administrative Team
    • Maintains membership in ISTE and participates in technology conferences and professional growth activities to keep current on trends
    • Maintains an inventory of software, licenses, equipment, and warranty information
    • Seeks out applicable grants
    • Assumes other appropriate responsibilities as assigned by school administration
    • Ensure all district software is compliant with data security and in compliance with state laws
