GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
To play an integral role in providing a safe and secure environment for students and staff and to assist with the smooth operation of an office
 
  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Monitors students in the cafeteria during meals, maintaining a safe and controlled environment;
• Monitors students on the campus during recess and/or break periods and in the hallways during class change periods, maintaining a safe and controlled environment;
• Monitors students awaiting school bus transportation, maintaining a safe and controlled environment;
• Assists in monitoring campus foot traffic to ensure that visitors have valid purposes for being on the school campus;
• Censors usage and unacceptable activities in accordance with the rules and standards established by the school’s faculty through discussions with the students involved and, if necessary, refers students to appropriate certificated personnel;
• Assists in facilitating appropriate campus activities;
• Assists students injured during campus activities by immediate notification to supervisory certificated personnel;
• Assists with clerical duties, as requested, including, but not limited to, copying, filing, preparing and distributing routine correspondence;
• Exhibits patience, courtesy and tact when dealing with others;
• Performs related duties as required.
  
QUALIFICATIONS

A. EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
• High School diploma or equivalent;
• Basic knowledge of safety practices and first aid;
• Basic knowledge of routine office functions and equipment.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Assists children and others in crossing intersection or designated crosswalk on the way to and from school in the morning and in the afternoon. Protects the safety of children and other pedestrians at all times while on duty.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  
• Directs actions of children at street intersections or designated crossing points;
• Escorts students and any pedestrians using school crossings, across the street;
• Records license numbers of vehicles disregarding traffic signals and stop signs of guard and reports them to site administrator or law enforcement;
• Places caution signs at designated points before duty hour and removes them at end of shift, returning to appropriate storage location;
• Incumbent will exhibit patience, courtesy and tact in dealing with others;
• Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS  

A.  REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or GED, preferred;
• No prior experience required;
• Ability to communicate and work well with staff;
• Knowledge of traffic laws as exhibited by possession of a driver's license or passing score on a motor vehicle assessment;
• Basic knowledge of safety practices and first aid.  
B.  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs;
• Ability to perform duties requiring extensive walking, standing and bending;
• Ability to walk on uneven surfaces;

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  
WAREHOUSE
• Answers warehouse telephone;
