Terms of Employment
Hours vary based on need. Part-time, daytime, evening and weekend hours are available.
$15 per hour
$16.50 per hour for Head Lifeguard
$18.25 for Early AM shift

Purpose
The primary responsibility of the lifeguard is the safety of the aquatic facility users. The lifeguard must have the knowledge and ability to rescue an individual in danger and also possess the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to emergencies, injuries and accidents in the aquatic facility.

Qualifications
Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR Pro, First Aid and AED Certification. Experience in facility procedures, rules, regulations, swimming and water rescue, water safety and rescue equipment usage preferred. Must maintain the ability to perform skills required to pass the certifications. Must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff and the general public, thus good oral and interpersonal communication skills are required. Ability to work with individuals of all ages.

Terms of Employment
This is a part time, 12 month position. Approximately 20-25 hours, based on the needs of the Natatorium, must be flexible throughout the day. This position is eligible for modified benefits:
• 2 part-time personal days per year
• 7 part-time sick days per year
• Holiday pay
Purpose
As the Lead Lifeguard, ensure the safety of the aquatic facility users. Training is available through the American Red Cross.

Purpose
The primary responsibility of the water safety instructor is to teach water safety skills in a logical progression for aquatic skill development. The instructor must also provide adequate supervision of the teaching area to ensure safety of all students.

Qualifications
Knowledge of facility procedures, rules, regulations, swimming and water rescue, water safety and rescue equipment usage preferred. Water Safety Instructor certification is required. Must maintain current certifications during the course of employment and the ability to perform the skills required to pass the certifications. American Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff and the general public, thus good oral and interpersonal communication skills are required. Ability to work with individuals of all ages. Requires an understanding of cognitive learning and motor development principles with the ability to provide information in a meaningful instructional manner.

Purpose
Follows specific instructions and procedures to complete assigned duties with the primary objective of preparation and service of nutritional school meals. Each employee is part of our team with the common goal of serving our students delicious and nutritious school meals per the USDA regulations set forth. Meal programs must be served within the proper time limits. Duties can include, but will not be limited to: Operation of commercial dishwasher, training on and compliance in the use of cleaning chemicals, other necessary cleaning duties of the kitchen area, properly complete meal service on a cash register, putting away and organizing inventory, as well as additional duties assigned by the cafeteria manager.

Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to safely operate school food service equipment in area of responsibility. Good oral and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to get along with others in a team situation. Previous experience in a restaurant or cafeteria setting is desirable.

This is a 9 month position for 5.5 hours/day (plus 1/2 hour unpaid lunch). This position is not eligible for benefits.

Purpose
Supports and implements the program of the Mild Disabilities teacher. Acts as an extension of the teacher in the Mild Disabilities and general education classrooms through an integrated program. Assists with assignments and implements behavior plans. Prepare the necessary instructional materials according to the teacher’s direction. Other responsibilities as needed and determined by the Special Education Director.
 
Qualifications
Completion of two years of study (60+ hours) at an institution of higher education or possession of an associate’s (or higher) degree is preferred. Previous experience as a classroom assistant desirable. Candidates must have a sincere interest in working with students in the learning process. Effective communication skills. Ability to take direction. Initiative and dependability in carrying out assignments. Patience and genuine interest in education of students. Awareness and respect for student diversity. Clerical skills, flexibility, and confidentiality required. Training for this position will be implemented upon hiring.
