  Position: World Language Teacher, French (1.0 FTE)

School: Frank Ward Strong Middle School

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university/ Connecticut Certification (018)

Reports to: Building Principal
 
Job Goal:  To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as self-reliant, life-long learners and responsible citizens.
  
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

? Design, plan, and implement subject area lessons based on applicable state standards
? Ensure accommodations and modifications are made for the growth and development of all students 
? Guide students in maintaining acceptable standards of classroom behavior 
? Maintain records of individual student achievement and evaluating students on a continuous basis 
? Meet and instructing assigned classes at designated times 
? Prepare for classes and maintaining written evidence of preparation 
? Uphold and enforce school rules, school board policies, and administrative regulations 
? Work with other members of the world language staff to plan instructional goals, objectives, and methods 
? Supports and promotes the District’s Core Ethical Values with students, colleagues and parents
