ALUMNI AND STUDENT ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR (PART TIME-GRANT FUNDED)
ROARING FORK SCHOOLS PRECOLLEGIATE PROGRAM
DEFINITION
This position is a part-time (20 hours/week), grant-funded position with an expected completion date of February 28, 2026. In order to address key components of our strategic plan, the Alumni and Student Engagement Coordinator will work closely with current program participants and recent program alumni to collect feedback and make recommendations as to how the program can be improved and as to how student voice can be better integrated into programming decisions.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives direct supervision from the Program Director of the PreCollegiate Program and support from the rest of the PreCollegiate team.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Student Engagement
Work closely with PreCollegiate staff to create opportunities to connect with current program participants to gather data and feedback on their experience in PreCollegiate and how better to integrate their voice into the decision making process for the Program.
Work closely with the student cohort leaders on a regular basis to create survey questions, interview questions, and plan focus group activities.
Conduct individual interviews of selected current program participants.
Create student focus groups that span grade levels, buildings, and communities.
Survey current students utilizing a variety of data collection methods.
Prepare and report findings to PreCollegiate staff and make program recommendations based on gathered student data.
Alumni Engagement
Be the central point of communication with current Program Alumni, focusing on more recent graduates.
Gather data from Program Alumni on their experience while in PreCollegiate.
Organize focus group opportunities for PreCollegiate alumni currently at partner colleges.
Identify opportunities to engage Alumni within the current program curriculum and governance of the program.
Gather data on best practices and current academic research on post-secondary persistence issues and models for college completion for potential implementation within the Program or for potential programming expansion.
Prepare and report findings to PreCollegiate staff and make program recommendations based on gathered alumni data.
QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced Google Office Systems, with the ability to become familiar with organization-specific programs, database systems, and software.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills that reflect the ability to seamlessly perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.
Adaptable to changes in the work environment and ability to deal positively with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
Outstanding interpersonal skills.
Experience and passion for working with culturally diverse and socially and economically disadvantaged populations.
Highly organized and able to work independently to manage multiple priorities and tasks and deliver timely results.
Team-oriented.
Demonstrate professionalism, tact, and diplomacy, and interact successfully with staff, mentors, and other district employees.
A sense of humor.
Ability to reliably travel within the Roaring Fork Valley and to colleges and universities within Colorado.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE & TRAINING GUIDELINES
Education: Some college coursework required, an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Experience in data collection, survey construction, and nonprofit work preferred. Experience working with youth is preferred. PreCollegiate Program alumni strongly preferred, or some prior knowledge of PreCollegiate program preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside. The noise level is usually moderate with many interruptions—office environment, computer screen exposure, and keyboard use.
Physical Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk and stand - occasionally lifting 25 pounds or less.
SALARY RANGE AND DAYS WORKED
Salary range: $20 - $25 dependent on qualified years of experience.
Benefits: Roaring Fork School District offers part-time employee health benefits, as well as voluntary vision, dental, and dependent coverage, which is partially paid by the district. Additionally, part-time employees can participate in Colorado PERA, with a district match of 21.4% of the employee’s monthly contribution.
Days worked: This classified hourly position will work up to 20 hours per week, following the school district calendar for classified employees. The position may be required to work during typical school district breaks in order to best connect with program alumni that may be in the Roaring Fork Valley during those times.

Roaring Fork PreCollegiate is a college access program for motivated first-generation students in the Roaring Fork School District who have been selected based on a demonstrated commitment to pursuing education after high school.
The mission of Roaring Fork PreCollegiate is to partner with our students to choose the post-secondary path that is best for them. To accomplish this we provide comprehensive high school and college advising and mentoring, access to relevant resources, and experiential opportunities.
