JOB GOAL:
To contribute to the effective operations of the Human Resources Office and to staff morale by the prompt and accurate handling of personnel matters.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED, minimum.
Associates Degree and two years’ work experience in Human Resources preferred
Ability to communicate orally and written as related to the job function
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from applicants, district personnel of all levels and general public
School district experience preferred
Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines with accurate attention to detail while working with frequent interruptions and minimum supervision
Maintain confidentiality of records, correspondence, and conferences
Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Visions, and/or developing and working with employment databases
Ability to promote excellent customer service
Must obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 261 Days; 12 Months
COMPENSATION: Per QCUSD salary schedule for applicable position
BENEFITS: As per QCUSD District policy
REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources
HOURS: 40 hours per week - Monday-Friday
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-exempt
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
Maintain the integrity of HRIS data (which includes employee positions and salaries)
Ensure certification and appropriately certified compliance of district-wide personnel, as needed, in accordance with the AZ Department of Education (ADE) rules and regulations
Process a variety of Personnel Action Request (PAR) forms to ensure appropriate placement on the salary schedule for compensation
Process Leave of Absences and Family Medical Leave
Respond to inquiries from district personnel concerning policies and procedures
Research a wide variety of topics for the purpose of providing information for a variety of administrative requirements
Assist in conducting new employee orientation including employment processing
Support assigned Administrator for the purpose of providing assistance with their administrative functions
Monitor salary schedule movements of all employees
Review employee experience and education to determine correct salary placement.
Support the Human Resources Department staff by assisting in the performance of work activities, including assisting the substitute coordinator and the District receptionist as requested
Perform additional job-related duties as assigned
