    Salary $46,592 - $56,909 annually: Salary placement on our classified salary schedule is dependent on the employee’s education and/or work experience. Non-licensed employees will be granted one (1) year for each full year of work experience and/or educational attainment up to a maximum of ten (10) years.     Summary
    Responsible for processing district payments and reimbursements timely and accurately; including invoices, purchasing cards, mileage, and reimbursements. Research and inquiries related to all disbursement types listed above. Accounts Payable related auditing of monthly P-card holder statement and monthly review of vendor statements. Create purchase orders, maintain files for Accounts Payable, and assist with vendor records including obtaining certificates of liability insurance and W9 tax information. Customer service to both internal employees and external community members. Answer and direct incoming telephone calls, notary, and greet patrons visiting the central office as necessary.
     
    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
    Required:
    • High School Diploma required
    • Associate degree in accounting preferred or equivalent experience
    • A minimum of two years of accounts payable experience
    • Proficient in the use of mathematics, accounting principles and excellent organizational skills
    • Experience with secretarial work with word processing, spreadsheets, databases and accounting software. Willingness to learn new software packages
    • Familiarity with the rules and guidelines of financial audits and IRS reporting
    • Be service oriented, possess a growth mindset, and have willingness to adapt and learn.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees
    • Ability to communicate effectively
     
    Essential Functions and Characteristics:
    Responsibilities for Accounts Payable          
    • Monitors all purchase requisitions, verifying budget codes, price extensions, shipping information and assuring proper signatures. Responsible for input, obtaining approval, and disseminating information as necessary.
    • P-card Processing: Work in district financial software to assure accurate monthly payment to the P-card banking institution. Compile, verify, proof and post P-card holder purchases as accounts payable line items in the financial software system. Also, includes verification of receipts, limited analysis of statements and reconciling
    monthly payment to the P-card related banking institution.
    • Prepare all federal funds processing and submissions to CBOCES as required.
    • Assist with payroll and personnel records as needed.
    • Create purchase orders and place orders for directors and administration as required
    • Prepare monthly expenditure reports for all district accounts.
    • Assist with year-end audit preparation for annual audit.
    • Process invoices for payments if necessary.
    • Order general supplies for the office when as needed.
     
    Responsibilities for General Office
    • Assist with taking greeting and assisting visitors to the central office, answering and directing phone calls, and working in a team environment.
    • Maintain professional confidentiality in all matters.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned by CFO/COO and/or Superintendent.
