Position: CTE TOSA – College and Career Readiness
Rate: 1.0 FTE
Schedule: The work hours/days for this position may involve some modification/flexing of the typical teaching schedule.
Calendar: 180-Day
Notes: This position is for the 25/26 school year. This position includes a 10-day extra-duty stipend to complete work before and after the end/beginning of the school year and outside of the contracted school day to be preapproved and assigned by the CTE Director.
College and Career Readiness TOSA 1.0 – facilitates the integration of college and career education information and guidance into school programs by providing enrichment and resources that will enable each student to gain the skills necessary to make informed post-secondary choices. This will include classroom presentations, guidance, coordination of community partnerships, events, implementation of district-wide initiatives, CTE priorities and special projects, and staff training.

Applicants must hold (or be eligible to obtain) a CTE teaching certificate with the appropriate 3 years full-time occupational experience-based endorsements: - V600092 Must hold a University route CTE Teacher Initial or Continuing Certificate and Worksite Learning Coordinator Certificate Or must hold a Business and Industry route, with any occupational experience other than teaching, CTE Teacher Initial or Continuing Certificate and Worksite Learning Coordinator Certificate.
AND - V600097 Possess a valid initial or continuing CTE Teacher Certificate or be eligible receive and demonstrate all competencies related to coordination techniques as verified by professional educator standards board approved program (WAC 181-77-068); Completion of a WBL Coordination Techniques course.
Desired Qualifications Include - Bachelor’s Degree involving major study in a related field (master’s degree preferred) or related professional experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of full-time employment as a high school CTE teacher or career specialist, within the past 5 years, or equivalent college level career advising experience with demonstrated ability to work successfully with students, staff, and community.
- Eligibility for Career and Technical Education Teaching, as defined by WAC 181-77-081.
- Eligibility for Career and Technical Education Worksite Learning Coordinator as defined by WAC 181-77A-180.
- Completion of CTE Teacher Preparation Program is preferred.
Additional Requirements - Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
- Pass Criminal Background Fingerprinting with WSP and FBI
- Successfully complete OSPI required training
