General Description:
The Coordinator II – CTE will assist in managing the daily operations of the CTE College & Career Pathways within the 3 high schools, as well as monitoring and managing to CTE key performance indicators as they relate to our relationship with Triton (ICCB) and the Desplaines Valley Regional Office (DVR). The Coordinator II is responsible for assisting in development, organization, and supporting the Director in the direction of the department and to teach both veteran and newly converted licensed industry personnel on how to integrate HB3296 into their pedagogical best practices. The primary function of the Coordinator II is to assist in PLC work, technology integration, curriculum writing, training, and supervision to teachers and staff to assure implementation of instructional objectives, lessons, and strategies that are congruent with the needs to the students within the Proviso Township High School District. The Coordinator II assists in supporting the staff in identifying and/or supporting appropriate educational resources, including support and curriculum aligned with the Illinois Learning Standards (Industry standards) and each student’s Individualized Educational Plan.
The Coordinator II will also assist in serving as the liaison between the Office of CTE and Early College and other CTE stakeholders (e.g., teachers, counselors, administration, students, parents, external partners). Recruiting is conducted jointly by the Office of CTE and Early College and the schools.
Minimum Required Qualifications:

Excellent organization, written and verbal communication, and technology skills (e.g., familiarity with Microsoft Office programs)

Experience facilitating collaboration within and among businesses, post-secondary institutions, schools, and community-based organizations
Ability to work within a grant setting and assist in budget management, procurement, delivery, payments, and inspections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities*:
Represent CTE as district/school point-person and liaison for CTE programs, connecting school-based staff to district office and area teams and to the community (parents, externals partners, etc.)
Work within a grant setting and assist in budget management, procurement, delivery, payments, and inspections.
Drive integration between CTE and core school staff - Facilitate integrated teacher/staff teams at school (PLCs), connecting CTE and core academic staff for common planning, student progress reviews, and discussions about supplemental needs.
Promote and help connect students to supplemental educational programs and opportunities (e.g., summer enrichment, after-school programs, college articulation and dual credit, etc.)
Collaborate with school administrators to ensure that CTE goals in the grant are reviewed frequently, accomplished through demonstrable student outcomes, and incorporated into school planning exercises.
Collaborate with counselors to review and communicate student performance to students, parents and school staff periodically; aide in subject selection for students; ensure that transcripts (and reverse transcripts) reflect coursework and graduation requirements; enforce proper sequencing by programmers.
Support annual budgeting and expenditure efforts in academies, working with school-based personnel (e.g., business department) to monitor purchase orders and ensure funds are used in a timely and appropriate manner to support delivery of CTE instruction.
Identify, and coordinate with District Office to address, teacher needs (e.g., propose professional development topics for central office to facilitate, support CTE teacher recruitment efforts, disseminate D209 policies and procedures, etc.)
Support daily academy operations and development as needed by troubleshooting day-to-day operational issues (e.g., assisting with set-up of new classroom and lab facilities, monitoring contracts between partners at the school and affiliated agencies, etc.)
Assist the Director of CTE and Early College, Licensing, Dual Credit, Dual Enrollment, and Dual Degree.
Create a culture of excellence, professionalism, teamwork, collaboration among the staff, teachers, students, and families.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Proviso Township High Schools District 209 Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel. All evaluations shall comply with State and Federal law.
