    Position Title:

    Student Support and Curriculum Implementation Coordinator 

    Reports To:

    Director of Curriculum and Instruction (or designated district administrator) 

    Primary Purpose:

    The Student Support and Curriculum Implementation Coordinator will serve as a key resource in ensuring academic growth and success for all students at Pineywoods Community Academy (PCA). This individual will develop and maintain a comprehensive student data dashboard to track performance across multiple assessment sources, coordinate targeted instructional interventions based on data analysis, and provide implementation support for the Texas Bluebonnet Math Curriculum. The SSCI Coordinator will collaborate with teachers, instructional specialists, and campus leaders to ensure data-informed instruction and responsive academic supports for all learners. 

    Major Responsibilities and Duties:

     

    Data Systems and Dashboard Development

     
    • Design and maintain a user-friendly data dashboard integrating multiple sources (STAAR, MAP, local assessments, benchmarks) for district and campus use.
    • Ensure timely updates and accuracy of student performance data.
    • Train campus and district staff on the use and interpretation of data systems.
     

    Data Analysis and Academic Response

     
    • Analyze student performance data to identify achievement trends, instructional gaps, and subgroup performance concerns.
    • Facilitate campus and district-level data review sessions to guide decision-making.
    • Collaborate with instructional staff to develop flexible student groupings based on identified academic needs.
     

    Intervention Design and Implementation

     
    • Partner with interventionists and instructional coaches to design tiered intervention plans aligned with data findings.
    • Monitor the fidelity and effectiveness of interventions; adjust as needed to ensure student progress.
    • Assist in the selection, development, or adaptation of intervention resources.
     

    Curriculum Implementation Support

     
    • Provide training and embedded coaching for teachers on the Texas Bluebonnet Math Curriculum.
    • Support lesson planning, modeling, and co-teaching as needed to ensure curriculum fidelity.
    • Gather teacher feedback and collaborate with curriculum leads to continuously improve instructional alignment.
     

    Collaboration and Communication

     
    • Serve as a liaison between district-level leadership, instructional coaches, and campus-based staff.
    • Ensure communication loops are maintained regarding academic supports, curriculum expectations, and data insights.
    • Attend and contribute to RTI/MTSS meetings, PLCs, and leadership team discussions as appropriate.
     

    Qualifications:

     

    Education and Certification:

    • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (required)
    • Master’s degree (preferred)
    • Valid Texas teaching certificate (required)
     

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience (required)
    • Experience with student performance data analysis (preferred)
    • Experience supporting curriculum implementation or instructional coaching (preferred)
     

    Special Knowledge/Skills:

    • Strong understanding of student assessment systems (STAAR, MAP, local benchmarks)
    • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply student data for instructional planning
    • Familiarity with MTSS/RTI processes and best practices
    • Effective collaboration and interpersonal communication skills
    • Knowledge of research-based intervention strategies
    • Proficiency with educational technology tools for data analysis and instructional support
     

    Working Conditions:

    • Work with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
    • Some travel between campuses required.
    • Occasional extended hours to support after-school collaboration or training sessions.
     

    Terms of Employment:

    • 204-day work calendar
    • Salary commensurate with experience, based on PCA’s salary schedule
