Orono School District 278 is seeking degreed professionals and licensed teachers to tutor.   Positions are available for most subjects and age levels, especially those qualified to tutor upper middle school and high school age students.
 
 
Pay:  $22.00 to $25.00 per hour

Description:  Floating Substitute Cook (4 hours/day)

This job regularly reports to Orono High School kitchen unless called to fill in at another building.  

Job Summary:  
• Engage in a variety of duties within the school cafeteria.
• Light food prep and meal service.
• Dishwashing
• Cashiering and clean up.
Qualifications:
• Prior food service experience in quantity cooking and food preparation helpful, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible work environment.
• Position involves lifting, twisting, and turning.
• A positive attitude is essential.
Bargaining Group and Level:  SEIU #284, Food Service Contract, Level 1

Pay Rate: $19.65/hour

• Special Education Teacher DCD/ABS license preferred:  4 days/week Monday-Thursday 
 
Speech/Language Pathologist
 
• Elementary Speech/Language Pathologist, 2 or 4 days per week

• Secondary Speech Language Pathologist, 2 or 4 days per week
 
Orono Middle School
 
• Special Education Teacher:  4 days/week Monday-Thursday 
 
Academic Teacher
 
• Special Education Teacher, as needed
 
Paraeducators
 
• Elementary Special Education Paraeducators, 2 or 4 days/week Monday-Thursday

• Secondary Special Education Paraeducators, 2 or 4 days/week Monday-Thursday

• Transition Program Special Education Paraeducators,  2 or 4 days/week Monday-Thursday
 
Qualifications:
 
• Special Education Teacher license preferred for Teaching positions.

• Ability to supervise children in a positive manner.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.

• Strong reading, writing, math skills.

• Experience working with children.

• Knowledge of discipline policies and procedures.

• Ability to follow teacher's plan and direction.
Compensation: 

External Teacher and Speech Language Pathologist: $33.47/hour
Internal Special Education Paraeducators: $20.89/hour
Internal Teacher and Speech Language Pathologist: Regular Rate
Internal Special Education Paraeducators: Regular Rate
