The following position is available in Oregon City Schools for the 2025-2026 school year beginning August 13,
2025. The compensation will be in accordance with the agreement between the Oregon Board of Education
and the Oregon City Federation of Teachers. Recommendations will be final for this academic year.

Clay HS Career & Technology Department - One (1) Clay High School - Advanced Manufacturing & Machining Instructor
Education and Experience
- Valid Ohio teaching license or certificate to teach Manufacturing Operations; or
- At least five years experience in the field
Special Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct an instructional program that educates students about career pathways in advanced manufacturing.
- Enhance youth leadership with Skills USA (CTSO) as an integral part of instruction.
- Create safe and respectful learning environments where teachers and students safely operateequipment and follow emergency protocols (e.g., local and OSHA regulations, equipment operation andproper disposal of hazardous waste.
- Integrate competencies for relevant industry-recognized credentials into lesson plans.
- Utilize business and industry to develop and implement experiential and work-based learning opportunities for students that enhance classroom and laboratory learning.
- Establish, implement and maintain a required advisory committee aligned with the program pathway to aid in work-based learning, recruitment and industry-recognized credentials.
Essential Functions
- Serve the educational needs of students by providing the latest knowledge and skills associated with the area being taught.
- Implement instructional strategies to address the individual learning styles, needs, interests and abilities of all students.
- Use technology to strengthen the teaching and learning process.
- Assess student progress through a variety of means on a regular basis, using assessments to determine progress of students toward achieving goals.
- Create a classroom climate that is conducive to learning.
- Maintain accurate records as required by law, district policy and administrative request.
- Establish a variety of methods to communicate with parents or guardians.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Actively participate in department meetings, staff meetings, professional development, professional associations and other committees as appropriate or assigned.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by administration.
