Part Time Position - $200 per day


Job Summary: 
The Guest Instructor will provide individualized instrumental instruction to secondary students enrolled in instrumental courses (band and orchestra). Under the direction of the licensed teacher, Guest Instructors will give instrument specific instruction in a sectional platform during the student’s scheduled music class. 
 
Education and Certification Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in music (education or performance) – required. 
 
Preferred Education and Experience:
• Prior or current Minnesota teaching license – preferred.
• Prior music instruction experience (classroom or studio) – preferred.
• Multiple instrument proficiency (woodwind, brass, string, percussion) – required.
• Previous experience working with students
 
Essential Skills:
• Strong leadership and time management skills required
• Effective decision-making skills while acting within the district policies, procedures and guidelines
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, administrators, community, and staff
• Maintain confidentiality of information about students, families and staff
• Experience working with diverse students and families
