Brief Description:
The Board of Education of Middlesex County Magnet Schools is currently accepting applications to fill the position of Administrative Assistant to Director for the 2024-2025 school year. 

 
General Responsibilities:
The administrative assistant is responsible for overseeing key administrative, financial, curriculum, and technology-related functions within the Curriculum and Instruction Department. Responsibilities include managing purchasing, budgeting, record-keeping, grant administration, compliance reporting, and district testing. 
Additionally, this position supports curriculum initiatives, maintains educational technology platforms, and assists with onboarding new staff. 
 
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience working with district systems and compliance requirements. They must also be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and possess exceptional technology skills to effectively utilize various educational and administrative platforms.
 
Compliance & Reporting
 
• District Testing and Assessment: Assist with district testing such as Access for ELLs, STAMP, and district placement testing.

Curriculum and Instruction Departmental Support
 
• C&I Department Administration: Manage weekly highlights, district timelines, departmental calendar, and administrative reporting.
• Staff Support: Provide administrative support for curriculum and instruction initiatives and events.
 
District Curriculum Management
 
• Chalk Platform Management: Update and maintain the district curriculum within the Chalk platform to ensure accuracy and alignment with curriculum updates and state requirements.
• Course Catalog Oversight: Update and maintain the district’s course catalog.
 
Data & Record Management
 
• Board Compliance: Ensure proper documentation and approvals for board reports and compliance requirements.

Brief Description 
The Board of Education of Middlesex County Magnet Schools is currently accepting applications to fill the position of Mathematics Teachers for the 2025 Summer Institute. 

The major project that needs to be completed will be reviewing the updated mathematics curriculum for all courses with the updated New Jersey Student Learning Standards. This process will include evaluating the effectiveness of the curriculum implemented last year by analyzing assessment data to determine if any modifications are necessary to improve student outcomes. In addition, common resources and assessments will be reviewed and revised as needed to ensure equity in courses across the district.

The Math Summer Institute will run July 8-10 and July 15-17 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day at the East Brunswick campus.

This is a part-time hourly position and compensation is the hourly rate of $41.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma (or GED) and a minimum of three years’ experience working in grounds maintenance with skill in vehicle and equipment maintenance required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
2. Must possess or be able to obtain a license for application of restricted use pesticides to turf or ornamental plants.
