    Technology Coach – Tenure-Track (10-month Position)
     
    Qualifications

     
    1. Master’s degree in Educational Technology (or equivalent), preferred.
    2. Experience in implementing and supporting best practices in educational technology integration and personalized, research-based digital learning applications that improve teaching and student achievement.
     
    Job Responsibilities
    1. Serves as primary resource for administrators, classroom teachers, and other school staff in matters of technology, including integration of technology across the curriculum, access and equity, computer-assisted instruction, personalized learning, adaptive technologies, assistive technologies, and social media/social networking. 
    2. Works with Central Office administrators (especially the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Director of Technology), building administrators, supervisors, and teachers in developing and implementing best practices for digital learning/educational technology that support district educational goals and objectives; assist in the formulation of a philosophy and objectives for the instructional technology plan. 
    3. Studies, evaluates, and, as appropriate, recommends to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Director of Technology the adoption of new digital learning materials, methods, and programs, as well as the purchase of computer hardware, software, and other instructional technology tools. 
    4. Develops the instructional program and achievement of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and district goals and objectives. 
    5. Assists in the planning and implementation of the district's professional development program for instructional staff; seeks and shares information about professional growth activities related to educational technology. 
    6. Evaluates the district's technology plan and education program; recommends changes, as appropriate. 
    7. Provides insight into the development of district policies related to the use of instructional technology, computer software and online services. 
    8. Cooperates with central office administrators, building administrators, and supervisors in the implementation of district-wide electronic information systems/instructional technology programs, and provides technical assistance, as needed. 
    9. Maintains a catalog of available instructional software and works cooperatively with administrative staff to provide access to appropriate software for teacher and student use. 
    10. Assists with the coaching of teachers in technology-enhanced learning strategies. 
    11. Models and/team-teaches technology-related lessons, as needed, with classroom teachers. 
    12. Assists with the use of technology applications within lessons and provides coaching feedback regarding effectiveness in relation to student learning, special education accommodations, and discipline-specific pedagogies to staff members and instructional programs.

    Successful candidate is required to hold proper New Jersey certification.
