Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Meets the standards of Competent and Ethical Performance as outlined in Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR 584-020-000 to 584-020-045). The following are examples of duties. • Conduct individual evaluations in all eligibility areas defined in IDEA 2004.

• Provide direct services, consultation, and training with those involved in child’s care and education.

Lincoln County School District will be accepting applications from Lincoln County high school seniors AND/OR CURRENT STAFF FOR Grow Your Own who want to become teachers.  This program will support students in a program of study at Oregon Coast Community College to eventually obtain their Bachelor’s degree in Education and become licensed in the State of Oregon as a teacher. 
 
Lincoln County School District will offer job opportunities for students their first two years while attending Oregon Coast Community College.  Student teaching opportunities will be provided for students during their senior year of college which will result in a full-time teaching position with the district once licensure is obtained. 
 
The Requirements:
 
1. Be a current enrolled senior in a Lincoln County School District High School (Newport, Taft, Toledo or Waldport)
2. Have a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA or qualify for Oregon Promise
3. Submit a copy of your 7th semester official transcript
4. Submit two letters of recommendations from teachers
5. Submit a one-page essay describing why you want to be a teacher
6. Preference may be provided to students who are on track to meet four-year university eligibility requirements or enrolled in education-related classes (i.e. CTE) or college-articulated classes (dual-credit).

If you are interested in substituting in our district (classified, licensed or special projects), please complete an online application.  Lincoln County School District is accepting on-line applications for Classified and Licensed Substitutes in the Lincoln City, Newport, Toledo, Waldport, Eddyville and Siletz areas.  Positions will vary in hours and pay - depending on the type of substitute position you accept.
 
Qualified applicants will be asked for an interview and must provide at least 2 references. Upon selection, substitutes will be required to pay for the following:  $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $66 ODE processing fee.
