    Lincoln County School District is seeking talented and amazing educators passionate about kids.  Lincoln County School District is seeking a Temporary TOSA/Indian Education at Lincoln County School District for 2025-2026 with potential for continuation.  This position will primarily be responsible for the West, North and South areas of the district.  

    PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to improve and support our LCSD Title VI/Indian Education Program and to provide assistance in staff development, program implementation and coordination of instructional activities; a TOSA may serve in a variety of different roles to support the district in meeting its goals.

     
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Meets the standards of Competent and Ethical Performance as outlined in Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR 584-020-000 to 584-020-045). The following are examples of duties. However, any one position may not cover all duties listed; examples may not cover all duties an employee is expected to perform; and other duties may be assigned.

     
    • Assist in implementing district Title VI/Indian Education programing and fulfillment of grant policies, procedures and plans.
    • Assist Administrators in designing and implementing staff development in best instructional practices and in the use of data to inform program needs.
    • Consult with teachers and support staff in the implementation of Title VI/Indian Education program plan.
    • Assist in organizing and overseeing Title VI/Indian Education materials.
    • Facilitate communication within the district and among the schools regarding Title VI/Indian Education’s programs and practices.
    • Serve on district- wide committees as requested.
    • Establish and maintain collections of Title VI/Indian Education materials in current use.
    • Assist administrators and staff in assessing schools’ data in alignment with Title VI grant and guidelines.
    • Work collaboratively with school personnel in meeting diverse social and academic needs of students.
    • Work effectively and collaboratively with diverse student, staff and community populations.
    • Assist school staff and administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student conduct, reinforce individual school’s plan for positive behavior support, and utilize effective, proactive behavior management skills in all school settings.
    • Maintain accurate, complete and confidential records as required by law and district policy and administrative regulations.
    • Utilize technology as related to job responsibilities.
    • Maintain and improve one’s own professional competence.
    • Maintain appropriate certifications and training hours as required.
    • Attend and participate in staff meetings, district in-service meetings and committees as required.
    • Attend work regularly.
    • Knowledge of state and federal education laws and of student and staff rights.
    • Reflect upon own teaching performance; take primary responsibility for pursuing and evaluating professional growth; and accept and use supervisory feedback.
    • Participate in activities related to school functions and/or the education process that occur outside the regular workday, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
    • Assume responsibility for assigned duties, e.g., playground, lunchroom duty.
    • Maintain competency in technology as related to job responsibilities.
    • Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
     

    The qualified applicant must have:

     
    • appropriate licensure or the ability to obtain full licensure required - any full teacher license, with the appropriate background (If you do not currently have an Oregon license, please let us know how you plan to obtain licensure prior to the start of the position in lieu of a license)
    • proficiency based teaching experience
    • experience with standards based teaching, grading and rubric scoring
    • a proven track record or experience increasing student achievement
     


    Salary Range: $53,446 - $96,800 per year (based on 2024-2025 salary, 2025-2026 salary to be bargained)  
    *Posted salary based on a 190 day contract - will have additional required paid training days prior to start of contract in August 2025
    Benefits: Employer paid PERS, Medical, Dental, Vision insurance is pro-rated based on FTE.
