Job Summary:
All general administrative support positions are expected to perform common office procedures such as answering phones; providing information and customer service to students, employees and/or the community;word processing or data entry;and maintaining records while maintaining confidentiality.Although certain recurring tasks or responsibilities may be assigned to certain individuals within an office with multiple support positions,all employees in these positions are expected to contribute to keeping the office functioning effectively and efficiently.

This position works in the payroll department and will be responsible for reviewing payroll for locations and departments throughout the District.  This position will work with the payroll guidelines from Collective Bargaining Agreements and the Internal Revenue Service to verify pay, timesheets, substitute pay, extra pay, pay rates, account codes, and time off.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. Additional professional level experience may substitute for required education.
• Two years job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Prior public-school experience preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions requires the following physical demands: Frequent lifting, carrying, handling/grasping, fingering/pinching and keyboarding; Occasional pushing and/or pulling; some climbing, twisting, bending, stooping, and crouching. Generally the job requires 90% sitting, 5% walking and 5% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations, a generally hazard free environment, and in a clean atmosphere.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Daily program: work with special education teacher; construct a daily schedule of classroom routines and activities. Prepare and implement lesson plans Interactions with children: interact positively with all children to support their individual learning and meet their emotional needs Interactions with families: communicate regularly and respectfully with families and involve them in the education program Individualizing: make ongoing written observations of individual children. Based on information, develop a learning plan for each child within six weeks of school entry. Provide a curriculum and environment, including a multi-cultural environment, which meet the needs of every child, including those with disabilities developmental screening: after being trained on the administration of a standardized screening tool, conduct a screen, and re-screen then make referrals as necessary Recruit and train volunteers for the classroom Family support: encourage and support families in working toward the goals they have set for themselves Parent involvement: participate in, encourage and support family involvement in all aspects of the program. Attend at least one parent meeting per year Record keeping: maintain complete records on each child, stored in a confidential manner Staff training: attend staff in-service training, applying knowledge gained to ongoing work in the classroom.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Basic reading, writing and math skills, basic knowledge of computers and email, ability to communicate essential oral or written information to parents, students and colleagues in fluent English, ability to work effectively with children, families, community members and staff of diverse backgrounds, ability to relate positively to children and adults, ability to work as a team member, ability to use effective organizational and time management skills, ability to provide training and support to volunteers, and willingness to obtain a First Aid/CPR card.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: An Associate’s degree (AA) or higher OR two years of study equivalent to 72 quarter credits OR an Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment documenting a score of 461 or higher. Official documentation will be required upon hire. Prefer one year of experience plus a CDA Certificate or willingness to obtain an ECE degree.

Job Summary:
The major functions of this position will include scheduling and coordinating operations and supervision of the performing arts center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•  Collects usage fees an contractual agreements from community users for the purpose of providing payment to bookkeeper and ensuring district procedures are followed
•  Communicates with users (community groups, staff etc.) for the purpose of establishing a positive working relationship and keeping them informed of scheduled activities
•  Conducts training sessions for the purpose of training students and performing arts staff on the use of stage and audiovisual equipment
•  Coordinates maintenance, contractual services and capital improvements with Support Services for the purpose of ensuring maximum usage and safe operation with minimum interruption
•  Coordinates use of performing arts center for the purpose of greatest possible usage 
•  Develops and oversees performing arts budget for the purpose of ensuring that services are achieved within budget
•  Directs day-to-day activities and operations of theater facility for the purpose of ensuring that the facilities are available to use in a safe, proper and timely manner
•  Documents significant injuries or unusual occurrences during facility usage (e. g. vandalism) for the purpose of ensuring proper district liability and district procedures are properly followed.
•  Inspects facilities for the purpose of determining maintenance and repair needs, maintaining a safe environment and/or training staff in safe work practices
•  Maintains a current inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies used in the operation of the performing arts center (e.g. lamps, batteries, gels, stage sets, steps, platforms, furniture etc.) for the purpose of ensuring equipment is in a safe operating condition available and in the proper location
•  Maintains performing arts center for the purpose of preserving facility in a healthy, attractive and safe condition
•  Processes documents (e.g. building usage request, proof of insurance, accounts payable verification, prevailing wage certification, purchase requisitions) for the purpose of ensuring forms are completed in accordance with district procedures and disseminated to appropriate parties
•  Requests materials, supplies and equipment for the purpose of ensuring that adequate materials are available for performances in a timely manner
•  Supervises auxiliary personnel ( e.g. hiring/terminating recommendations, planning/scheduling/coordinating activities, training, advising, consulting) for the purpose of ensuring that the operation of the performing arts center functions in a safe and efficient manner

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Two years of higher education plus one year of experience in the Performing Arts field OR may substitute three years of experience in the Performing Arts field.
