Newark Charter is seeking an experienced girls’ lacrosse coach to manage and coach the middle school girls’ lacrosse program that is in line with the school’s mission and vision. In addition to the essential responsibilities of a head coach, the qualified candidate is responsible for leading and developing the student-athletes as a team, along with organizing and implementing practice and game plans. The qualified candidate will have a strong passion and understanding of the game and will instill excellent sportsmanship and fundamental skills in players.

Essential Responsibilities: - Execute the mission and vision of Newark Charter School through expectations, beliefs, parent engagement, and engagement in the school community.
- Act ethically and professionally, as well as promote a culture of excellence with high expectations for all students and community members.
- Promote high expectations for behavior standards and enforce the Code of Conduct.
- Supervise and manage all girls’ lacrosse-related activities, emphasizing individual skill growth, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Oversee the development and growth of the girls’ lacrosse program, including player development, game strategy, and the coordination of practice schedules and plans.
- Prioritize sportsmanship, safety, and well being of student athletes.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the school administration, governing organizations (DIAA), Newark Charter staff, parents, and students.
- Engage in effective communication with parents about weekly schedules and student-athlete expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: - A minimum of a high school diploma/GED is required.
Standard Requirements: Favorable Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check for the candidate who is offered employment
