Minimum Qualifications:
• Would prefer certified applicant (Bachelor of Arts) with previous 21^st Century Programming or After School Student Learning Program experience
• Experience with tutoring or teaching middle school students preferred 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Supports and actively engages in activities for planning and implementation of a school year program to improve student connectedness to the school and support academic strategies for success around student and school data
•    Support instructional, SEL, and leadership strategies as instructed
•    Participate in program development that would promote student participation, positive group interactions, and academic success
•    Provide student support for school orientation, expectations, study skills, educational and personal goal setting, responses to authority, and personal leadership.
•    Supports the collection of data for attendance, behavioral, SEL, and student incentives
•    Participates in field trip and daily programming to support student safety
•    Reliable, punctual, and prepared to support facilitation of a summer school experience
•    Additional duties as assigned by Site Coordinator, District Leadership, and Principal

Minimum Qualifications:
• Meets certification requirements of the State of Delaware for Exceptional Children K-12.
• Middle Level Math Certification preferred
• Middle Level ELA Certification preferred
• Strong content knowledge of special education.
• Successful completion of Praxis II exam

• Teach students in an inclusive setting.
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students.

• Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.

• Review all files and paperwork around IEP's prior to implementation to ensure compliance and completeness.
• Monitor IEPPlus and eSchool to ensure data in system matches individual files.
• Plan and schedule meetings to occur within district, state and federal timelines.
• Conduct meetings in a professional, courteous and compliant manner.
• Ensure minutes forms accurately reflect meeting.
• Ensure confidentiality of student records.
• Communication often with all appropriate staff regarding special education services and procedures.
• Conduct regular file reviews using Student Record Review Protocol or equivalent.
• Attend district level educational diagnostician meetings and special education core team trainings and meetings.
• Delivers training to teachers on district initiatives, procedures, and policy regarding Special Education under the IDEA and Section 504 under the ADA.
• Assists in September 30th unit count, December 1st child counts, local staffing counts and other needs as they arise.
• Provides educational and/or case management services to students in a variety of settings contingent on building level needs. (Such services may include: RtI groups, push-in and/or pull-out educational services and behavioral intervention supports).
• Facilitates with the psychologist and other staff, the Functional Behavioral Assessment and Behavior Intervention Plan process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As a State Constable you are privately employed by the Capital School District but commissioned by the State Board of Examiners of Constables with the exact same powers as any other police officer. 

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the safety and well-being of students, staff, volunteers and visitors and school facilities and assets at the school. Duties includes the supervision and monitoring of students within and outside the school building, enforcing appropriate student behavior, communicating with students regarding issues and/or behavior, escorting students and/or authorized visitors, assisting with bus duty, lunch duty, assisting with fire drills, school safety drills, emergency action planning, other threats and assisting in the removal from classroom of disruptive students.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
• Follows directives of building and district administrators.
• Serves as the lead on the building’s comprehensive school safety plan. Works with building administrators and staff in the event of an actual crisis.
• Assists building administrators with fire drills, evacuation drills and bomb threats.
• Monitors the interior and exterior of the school building and campus before, during and after school to ensure the safety and welfare of students, staff, volunteers and visitors and to ensure the security of school facilities and assets. Is responsible for validating that the exterior doors are secure throughout the school day.
• Provides crowd control in hallways, parking lots, cafeteria playground and/or other gathering spaces and intercedes in fights and other disturbances.
• Watches for disturbances, fights. Unauthorized visitors and/or criminal activity. Assesses danger and intervenes to halt or prevent fights, disturbances, and diffuses threatening or confrontational situations between students and others.
• Help to ensure order is restored and students are unharmed.
• Assists building administrators with student incidences, including but not limited to bullying, fights, thefts, weapons and substance abuse.
• May assist district administrators with investigations as needed.
• Maintains familiarity with and enforcement of Student Success Guide.
• Communicates with students and staff to discuss altercations, behavior and/or progress; and to provide reinforcement of expected behavior.
• Assists SRO and local and state law enforcement agencies when required.
• Escorts students to and from the office for disciplinary reasons and escorts unauthorized personnel from the school campus as needed.
• Maintains accurate and complete security records pertaining to discipline warnings, parking control and criminal events.
• Serves on the school crisis team to provide expertise in dealing with the school’s ERP information. Keeps the ERP portal updated. Other duties as assigned.
