Northland/Hill City Storm is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced individual to lead and develop our football program as Head Coach. This position is unique as the program will not have a Varsity team in 2025-26 due to the number of graduating seniors and declining participation in lower grades. The focus will be on building a foundation for the future and teaching fundamental football skills to athletes at various levels. The Head Coach will work closely with student-athletes to develop both athletic and interpersonal skills as well as foster teamwork, discipline, and leadership. The ideal candidate will also demonstarte a skill set to be a mentor who can inspire athletes and create a strong sense of community around the program.
Job Summary: The Head Coach will work closely with student-athletes to develop both athletic and interpersonal skills as well as foster teamwork, discipline, and leadership. Duties and responsibilities include selection, instruction, training and coordination of high school athletes; demonstrating and generating an attitude of good sportsmanship and fair play; knowing and administering policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth in the HCN Storm athletic policy manual and MSHSL policies for football; and providing for the health, safety and well being of team members. Other duties may be assigned.
Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid MN Driver's License
- Ability to pass a criminal background study
Desired Qualifications: - Knowledgeable in the sport of football and in coaching football;
- Ability to work harmoniously with other coaches;
- Interact with students, parents and community members in a positive way
Start Date: August 1, 2025.
Salary/Stipend Amount: $6534.92
