ISD #118 - Northland Community Schools is a district in beautiful north central Minnesota, serving the communities of Outing, Longville, Federal Dam, Boy River and Remer. The residents of the district passed a referendum in 2015 and a new addition to the campus was built, with the rest of the campus being completely remodeled including the remodel of one building to be an Early Childhood Center. The district belongs to NECC - the Northland Early Childhood Collaborative which includes the Northland Area Family Service Center, Leech Lake Early Childhood and Northland Community Schools.
Job Summary: Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning stations and curriculum that enhances the abilities and competencies of district preschoolers in the areas of social, emotional, physical, cognitive and creative development.
Job Duties include:
*Conduct group and individual activities using developmentally appropriate practice for 3-4 year olds in a preschool program
*Complete and implement daily and weekly lesson plans
*Set up classroom and materials to support student learning in alignment with Teaching Strategies objectives
*Perform child assessments and observations for purposes of documenting child learning and progress
*Participate in program and district staff meetings and professional development as assigned
*Other duties as assigned
This is a 1.0 FTE position for the 2025-2026 school year
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree
Valid MN teaching license for teaching preschool aged children
Valid MN Driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with young children in a related field
Knowledge of child development concepts and practices
