About the Role:
Houston Public Schools is seeking a dedicated MNVA Operations Specialist to join our team. This full-time, year-round position plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of the Minnesota Virtual Academy (MNVA). The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced educational environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide operational support for MNVA, ensuring smooth day-to-day functions.
• Follow and uphold district policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding school operations, student records, and sensitive information.
• Collaborate with staff, vendors, and leadership to support MNVA programs and initiatives.
• Devote full-time attention and effort to the responsibilities of the position.
   
Qualifications:
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with virtual learning platforms (preferred but not required).

Paraprofessional - Houston High School

PARAPROFESSIONAL – Houston Public Schools is looking for a caring individual to work with students with special needs at Houston High School. Prior experience working as a personal care assistant or a paraprofessional or similar type position working with children is preferred but not required.  Duties will include providing support and supervision on buses. Salary and benefits will follow the Local 70 Agreement.
 
There is an additional position available at the Houston Elementary School’s Hurricane Watch Program for two or three days per week from 3 pm to 5:45 pm as a Hurricane Watch Assistant.
