Multilingual Learners (ML)/English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher

Minnesota Virtual Academy (MNVA) is seeking a dedicated Multilingual (ML)/English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher. In this full-time position, you will support students’ language development in an engaging online environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication, technology, and collaboration skills.
 
Qualifications: 
• A current Minnesota Department of Education (PELSB) ELL/ESL teaching license. 
• Proficiency in using online learning platforms and technology to facilitate instruction.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to manage responsibilities effectively in a remote work environment.
Additional Qualifications:
• Demonstrates continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration, and/or job-embedded staff development
• Working knowledge of the subject matter, current researched best practices and strategies, as well as students' learning styles and needs
Travel Requirements
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

About the Role:
Houston Public Schools is seeking a dedicated MNVA Operations Specialist to join our team. This full-time, year-round position plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of the Minnesota Virtual Academy (MNVA). The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced educational environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide operational support for MNVA, ensuring smooth day-to-day functions.
• Follow and uphold district policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding school operations, student records, and sensitive information.
• Collaborate with staff, vendors, and leadership to support MNVA programs and initiatives.
• Devote full-time attention and effort to the responsibilities of the position.
   
Qualifications:
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
