    This is a pool posting intended to garner applicants for a SY25-26 leadership cadre. Contracts will be extended to highly qualified, high-match candidates. This posting is also intended to be used in anticipation of vacancies yet to be identified for leadership roles in Highline, for the 2025-2026 school year. This posting will be updated on a rolling basis as specific vacancies are identified.

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - Student Learning (Posted 2/24)
    Position Profile:
     Highline Public Schools is seeking an Executive Director to join their Student Learning team beginning July 1. This leader will work alongside a team responsible for innovative instruction under our strategic plan. They will have experience leading in an elementary setting, and will coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure refinement and implementation of elementary instructional guidance across programs and content areas.  Through a clear lens on equity, they will oversee both our special education program and highly capable services, and contribute to our Highline’s ongoing commitment to inclusive education.
     
     The ideal 
    candidate is experienced in elementary curriculum and instruction and inclusive school models, bringing knowledge of research, design, and implementation of actions to support all learners in academic development. They support co-directors and a team supporting special education services and understand the importance of inclusive settings to prepare all students for their futures.  As the district's Highly Capable program administrator they are able to collaborate with team members, schools and families to ensure coherent and inclusive service delivery for qualifying students. With a systems lens and strategic approach, they will lead the broader curricular and programmatic efforts related to early learning and elementary grades.  As a member of the Student Learning senior leadership team they will work in service of coherent instructional programming across all grade bands that is intentional, culturally relevant and accessible to all students; advising the Deputy Superintendent in areas for which they are directly responsible.

     This position will close, as a priority deadline, to applicants on Wednesday, March 5th at 11:59pm PST. HR minimum qualification screening and district centralized screenings will take place on a rolling basis through March 10th, followed by profile-based screening beginning on March 12th.     SCHOOL LEADER CADRE COHORT INTERVIEWS - Various Sites (Posted 2/24)
    Position
    Profile:
     Highline Public Schools is seeking dynamic school leaders committed to antiracist school systems, meaningful school-family partnerships and a systems leadership lens. For the 2025-2026 academic year, Highline is looking to interview candidates for an early cadre contract. Select exceptional candidates will be extended a cadre contract, committing to Highline leadership and to being matched and assigned to serve in a specific school community later in the season. We anticipate that there will be site-specific vacancies identified for posting later in the season. 
     

     Cadre contract: This contract would be school-level specific (Elementary, Middle School, High School, etc.) and position specific (Assistant Principal, Principal).  
     During leadership screening, candidates may ask questions about this process, and will indicate willingness to be considered for a cadre interview. Once interviewed, the hiring team will determine (a) whether any candidates are to be recommended for a cadre contract, and/or (b) which candidates are to be recommended for site-specific screening/interview processes. 

    Please note the following timeline:
     This position will close to applicants on Wednesday, March 5th at 11:59pm PST. HR minimum qualification screening and district centralized screenings will take place on a rolling basis through March 10th, followed by cadre screening beginning on March 13th. Candidates recommended for cadre contract may be invited to a finalist interview the week of March 17th. Decisions on candidate recommendations will be communicated no later than April 1st.
