The Hampstead School District seeks a dynamic professional to join the Hampstead Central School as a Full-Time Early Childhood and Special Education Preschool teacher beginning with the 2025-26 school year. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to provide a warm and friendly environment for primarily special education preschool-aged students with a mix of regular education preschool-aged students. QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a minimum of Bachelor's degree with NH Education Certification 1866 in Early Childhood Education N-3 and 1912 in Early Childhood Special Education Teacher N-3.

Position

Essential Functions 
• Conducts assessments, testing and diagnostic examinations of students for the purpose of identifying learning issues, and recommending courses of action or corrective procedures to overcome issues and maximize learning. 
•  Develops Individual Educational Plans ("IEP") for students. 
• Assists students and teaching staff in implementing students' IEP's and behavior management plans. 
• Coordinates with administrators and other teaching staff members to ascertain individual student's abilities and needs, including students with special needs, and to familiarize stakeholders with social work services. 
• Serves as ready resource to students and parents to provide counseling that will lead each student to increased personal growth, self-understanding, and behavioral management; serves as liaison between home and school. 
• Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping and providing student information to prospective colleges and employers, as required by district procedures and applicable laws. 
• Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents. 
• Selects and requisitions appropriate books, aids, and other supplies and equipment, and maintains inventory records. 
• Ability to modify grade-level work for those students who require curricular modifications in order to particiapte in the general education setting.

 Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other Central Office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Completed applications require a cover letter of interest, one recommendation letter, and three professional references with contact information.  The Hampstead School District does not contact references nor employers without explicit permission given verbally by the applicant.

Terms: 
6.75 hours per day, Monday through Friday
30 min unpaid lunch 
Salary (based on experience), and benefits are in accordance with the Hampstead Association of School Staff (HASS) Agreement, attached.
(Note Appendix A, Wage Schedule; and Article 7, Insurance.)
Medical and dental benefit offerings are associated with this position.

• Must successfully complete a criminal history background check.*

* Fingerprinting services are done by SAU personnel at the Central Office in Hampstead on pre-determined dates established by the Human Resources Department throughout the school year.
