Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated K-12 Physical Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive physical education program that promotes student wellness, physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The teacher will create an engaging, inclusive, and safe environment that encourages students to develop lifelong healthy habits.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal team member:
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field.
Valid Michigan teaching certification in Physical Education (or ability to obtain certification).
Previous experience teaching physical education at the elementary level is preferred.
Maintains a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment conducive to student success.
CPR and First Aide certification (or willingness to obtain).
Terms of Employment:
Starting salary range: Per Master Agreement (negotiations for 2025-26 are occurring now) between the Beal City Public Schools Board of Education and the Beal City Education Association.
Starting Date: Start of 2025-2026 school year.
The salary schedule placement is determined by the college degree level and number of years of teaching experience. Teachers with previous teaching experience will receive steps on the schedule for each year of experience up to 10 years. Schedule B (e.g., coaching) opportunities are available on our website.
