QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma required (minimum).
- Typing skills minimum 60 words per minute preferred.
- Notary Public or willingness to become a notary.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of standard office equipment.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Synergy, and a willingness to be trained in other programs, as needed.
- Able to compose written text using proper grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Understands importance of accuracy in work.
- Must exhibit good telephone etiquette.
- Fundamental mathematics skills necessary.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding students and staff.
- Must be neat and well groomed.
- Must be dependable and have excellent attendance.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences both verbally and in writing.
- Is able to get along well with a wide variety of people and work as a team player.
- Is able to be self-directive in organizing and accomplishing office work priorities.
- Is tactful, pleasant, professional, and courteous at all times.
- Can remain relaxed and clear-thinking under stress.
- Exhibits emotional stability and physical stamina necessary for meeting the requirements of the position.
- Certified or willing to become certified in basic first aid/CPR.
- Thorough knowledge and experience with pupil accounting.
- Thorough knowledge and experience with online student management.
- Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
DUTIES:
- Performs usual office routines.
- Manages pupil accounting for the building.
- Prepares written materials for various departments.
- Designs and prepares alternative education high school public relations materials.
- Member of building MERT (Medical Emergency Response Team).
- Receives incoming calls and takes accurate messages.
- Welcomes parents and visitors to Principal's Office.
- In the absence of the principal, is capable of handling situations that arise in a calm and professional manner.
- Building Point of Contact for Synergy.
- Coordinate all beginning of the year activities.
- Coordinate major alternative education high school functions, such as, but not limited to, assemblies, parent teacher conferences, honors nights, and graduation.
- Manage, coordinate all door schedule and communication software.
- Scheduling of facilities.
- Coordinate necessary building mailings/correspondence.
- Coordinate and maintain administrator calendar and schedule.
- Coordinate collection of appropriate timesheets.
- Proactively coordinate and develop necessary correspondence from Principal's Office, such as letters, newsletters, social media preparation, PowerPoints, back to school packets, presentations and events, etc.
- Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
SALARY: $16.87 - $20.85 per hour commensurate with experience (per the DESA Master Agreement, Level 1)
