The Human Resources Leave and Support Specialist  is responsible for overseeing and managing various human resources functions with a focus on leave of absence management and critical tracking of probationary employees, attendance and stay interviews and ensures compliance with district policies and regulatory requirements. 
 
AVAILABLE:   
One (1) full-time position available; 37.5 hours per week; 261 days per year (including 12 paid holidays)
 
SALARY:        
$25.11 - $33.03 per hour. Non-Union, At-Will Position.

BENEFITS:     
Health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance after one full day of employment. Employees shall be subject to the co-payment of health care costs in accordance with state law.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Education:       
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or a related field required. Completion of MSBO's HR Specialist Certification required or obtained within the first two years of position.

Experience:     
Minimum five (5) years of experience in human resources, with at least three (3) years specifically overseeing employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, LOA, ADA and bereavement. Experience in employee evaluations, compliance, and benefits administration preferred.

The Substitute Teacher of is responsible for the instructional program and implementation of activities for the students in the assigned classroom.

Qualifications:
Education:
A minimum of 90 semester or 135 quarter hours with a 2.0 GPA or higher is required to obtain a Michigan Substitute Teacher Permit. Transcripts must be from a two or four-year regionally/nationally accredited college/university.  The Michigan Substitute Teacher Permit must be renewed each school year. 

Experience:
Work experience in a child care or educational program preferred. Work experience with children or adults in a group home or foster care facility specializing as a caregiver for residents with special needs preferred.
