Assistant Drama Director - High School

Start Date:            August 2024
Posting Period:    August 12, 2024  - until filled
Salary:                  Based on years of experience as outlined in CLEA Agreement
 
Expectations of Job Performance:
• Assist in producing a fall and spring play.
• Assist in reviewing and choosing plays.
• Attend rehearsals.
• Assist in creating practice and performance schedules.
• Notify and inform of times for auditions, practices, etc.
• Assist in reviewing and altering rules for rehearsals/building time as needed.
• Audition actors.
• Gather information from cast and crew.
• Notify rules of participation and ability to letter in drama.
• Plan with crew (stage manager) the items in storage and those to be purchased for props/sets.
• Purchase needed items (ordered by front office or reimbursed) or borrow items (return after show).
• Monitor and direct cast and crew during rehearsals, practices, and performances.
• Assist and train crew with lights and sound.
• Locate and recruit extra help for shows as needed.
• Assist in collecting and submitting funds taken in from shows and fundraisers.
• Clean-up and organize clean-up post-show (take down sets, etc.).
