Purpose of Job

Qualifications:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Assist young people in removing barriers to learning by collaborating across networks.
• Communicate with W-A-Y Program central team to ensure that W-A-Y Program model, policy and practice is followed.
• Attend Team Leader meetings and training sessions as required
• Monitor project deliverables and communications to ensure follow-up and continuity between mentors and researchers
• Monitor mentor reports and other such requirements
• Multi-task and be prepared to offer support to other team members as the need arises
• Provide intervention with researchers when necessary
• Ensure that child protection issues are dealt with promptly keep the local project team informed
• Ensure that no researcher is offline for technical reasons for more than 48 hours
• Ensure that each researcher has access to the standard equipment and connectivity
• Contribute actively to W-A-Y community
• Contribute to project research through experiences and discoveries
• Report on research as required by the project contract
• Report to and collaborate with W-A-Y Program central team when required
• Ensure that research data required by W-A-Y Program central team is accurate and up to date.

• Assist with catering setup and breakdown as needed.

Experience:    Minimum three years documented experience in enterprise level Local Area Networking and Wide Area Network management.  Must be versed in Microsoft Server, Virtual Server Technology, Web and Spam Filtering in an education environment desirable.

Skills/Other:  Demonstrable work experience working with firewalls and router security. Must be able to utilize a wide range of WAN technologies such as IP, IPX, OSPF, RIP and Ethernet. Must have demonstrated problem resolution skills in a complex LAN/WAN environment. Demonstrable experience in the areas of VoIP and Wireless LAN configuration and management. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to assimilate new knowledge quickly and effectively in order to incorporate the products and outgrowths of evolving technologies. Ability to utilize district technology and work to maintain proficiency, as required skills sets change with technology and/or the needs of the district. Ability to manage and document multiple projects. Must demonstrate strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills. Strong teamwork, interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the essential duties of the position and the ability to travel as needed. ROLE AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
 
The PC/Equipment Support Technical Lead is responsible for the planning, installation, configuration and maintenance of workstations, peripherals, mobile devices and related support equipment. Oversees project implementation with regard to small scale and large scale device deployment and/or upgrades as well as construction projects. Performs walkthroughs for projects and tracks work to be completed. Creates and maintains end-user tip sheets and documentation. Maintains equipment inventory and schedules equipment disposals. Evaluates and recommends workstation and mobile device hardware, software, and management solutions. Mentors PC/Equipment Support Technicians and provides coverage at Shared Technical Services districts.
 
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary: $44,865 - $61,437 annually comiserate with education/experience.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary: $17.34 - $20.40 per hour. Genesee Intermediate Educational Support Personnel Association. 
 
Benefits: Eligible for health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance after one full day of employment. 

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to secure and maintain required licenses and certifications through the State of Michigan and the Michigan Department of Education. Ability to pass a physical examination and a drug test required. Valid Michigan Driver's License required with no points preferred. Maintain a personal telephone to ensure communication with district personnel. Ability to participate in and successfully complete 15 hour district-sponsored transportation training program. Ability to participate in and successfully complete First Aid, Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Bloodborne Pathogen, behavior intervention, and hazardous materials training required. Other required training may include oral and tracheal suctioning, crisis prevention intervention and Diastat.

Experience:  
Prefer candidates with a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a minimum "B" classification, "P" passenger, "S" school bus and air brake endorsements and experience transporting Special Education students.

Job Summary:
The bus driver is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students over specific routes in accordance with established projected driving times and route schedules.  Responsible for working with parents/guardians, teachers and staff in the assigned area of responsibility to ensure the safe pickup and drop off of students at designated locations.
