Position Summary: The Summer Programs Director will oversee the Garfield 16 Summer Programs at each location. The Director will develop the program schedule, monitor student enrollment, support student behavioral concerns, facilitate purchasing program supplies, and coordinate with other district personnel regarding transportation of meal service.
The Director will cover all hours of operation for the Garfield 16 Summer Programs, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. between June 10-July 26, 2024. Additional preparation and planning hours will be required.
Position Responsibilities:
Supervise the staff and program
Address behavior concerns with students
Communicate behavior concerns with parents/guardians
Identify and place requisitions for supplies and materials
Be available to staff at all locations
Coordinate district procedures for transportation, purchasing, time management, and meal service
Required Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
Ability to manage a flexible and changeable schedule
Ability to provide guidance and direction to staff
Ability to communicate effectively
