ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
1. Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance, and works with the attendance supervisor for investigating follow-up actions.
2.  Participates in the recruitment, employment, assignment, evaluation, promotion, and dismissal of certified personnel.  
3. Assists in conducting staff meetings to keep members informed of policy changes, new programs, etc.  
4. Assists newly assigned staff members and assists in their development as appropriate.  
5. Cooperates with college and university personnel regarding teacher training and preparation as directed by the principal.  
6. Works with department heads and faculty as a curriculum leader in those areas as directed by the principal.  
7. Aids in preparing staff development as directed by the principal.  
8. Cooperates in the conducting of safety inspections and safety drill practice activities.  
9. Assumes responsibilities for coordinating transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services as directed by the principal.  
10.  Works with other administrators to coordinate the overall educational program.  
11.  Serves on district committees as directed.  
12. Participates in principal’s meetings, negotiation meetings and such meetings as are required or are appropriate.  
13.  Works with various members of the Central Office staff on problems in designated areas.  
14. Supervises the development of school bulletins and handbooks.  
15. Supervises student and staff parking.  
16. Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school.  
17. Assists teachers in establishing and maintaining good behavior and objectives.  
18. Serves with parent, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives.  
19. Assists in the establishment and maintenance of positive relationships with community groups and individuals to foster understanding and support of school objectives and programs.  
20. Maintains liaison with community law enforcement and welfare agencies.  
21. Keeps abreast of changes and development in the profession by attending professional meetings, reading professional journals, and attending educational conferences and workshops.  
22. Maintains active and participating membership in professional organizations.  
23. Other duties as may be assigned.

 
Length of Contract:           Two hundred nine (209) contract days.
 
 
Evaluation:                           Performance will be evaluated by the Execdtive Director of Secondary Education in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
 
 
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Masters Degree.  Five years experience as a classroom teacher preferred.  Previous experience in a leadership position at the district/state level preferred.
 
 
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid teaching certificate and valid secondary administrator certificate.
 
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, staff, parents, and the general public.
 
 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to plan budgets and use the mathematical skills required to do so.  Maintain accurate records and support documentation for projects under the supervision of the position.

Job Goal:    Responsible for general business functions of the District; ensuring they are efficient and effective while also being in compliance with board policies, administrative regulations and applicable state and federal regulations and law.  Specific areas of responsibility include accounts payable functions; property and casualty insurance administration; liability and tort claims processing; District-level insurance and service contracts, fixed assets and inventory management control systems; supervision of District’s facilities rental process; preparation of monthly financial statements; oversight of sanctioning of parent organizations; and, supervisory and evaluation responsibilities of related staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    
Ensure accurate, timely financial statements and reports are generated in compliance with board policies, administrative regulations and applicable state and federal regulations.  Specific areas of responsibility include preparation of monthly financial statements, accounts payable functions; property and casualty insurance administration; liability and tort claims processing; District-level insurance and service contracts; oversight of sanctioning of parent organizations; and supervisory and evaluation responsibilities of related staff.  Opportunity for advancement within the department.  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  
1. Supervises District accounts payable functions. 
2. Prepares monthly financial statements.  
3. Assists in annual audit preparation and response to any findings.  
4. Keeps informed of and interprets business and financial laws, policies and regulations affecting the business affairs of the District.  
5. Serves as administrator of purchasing card (P-Card) program, managing P-Card payments and overseeing management of operations.    
6. Serves as the District’s insurance representative in the areas of property, vehicles, and general liability coverage components and work in conjunction with the District’s Agent of Record to identify and recommend service providers.  
7. Manages processing of property/casualty insurance claims.    
8. Serves as the District’s contact in liability/tort claims processing.  
9. Reviews other insurance and service-related contracts as needed.  
10. Structures and manages implementation of the District’s beverage/snack vending contract.  
11. Manages collections process for unpaid receivables.  
12. Supervises and evaluates accounts payable staff.  
13. Oversees the process of sanctioning parent organizations.  
14. Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.

     

Length of Contract :  Two hundred forty (240) contract days.  
EVALUATION : Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Chief Financial Officer in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policies and state law.  

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:  
• Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field.  
• Previous Experience: Experience in working in accounting, financial services, business or related field, preferably in an educational or governmental environment.  Familiarity with the Oklahoma Cost Accounting System (OCAS) and related State Department of Education regulations. Must have experience using spreadsheets, word processing, and database software, as well as working with computerized general ledger accounting software. 
• Ability to work cooperatively with others, demonstrate self-discipline and initiative, and follow state and district guidelines.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
