When filling positions, the Hiring Administrator will be hiring directly out of this pool job vacancy. Currently, locations for job vacancies are: Brier Elementary, Brier Terrace Middle School, Madrona K-8, Edmonds Heights K-12, Edmonds Woodway High School, Meadowdale High School, and Mountlake Terrace High School.
Position Information:
Educational interpreters use sign language and voice interpretation to facilitate communication between Deaf and hard of hearing students and others, including peers, teachers and other staff within the educational environment.
Shift Details: 180 day calendar
Continuing vs. Non-Continuing: Status varies and is dependent on specific position employee is hired to fill
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Hourly Rate: $44.66 - $48.50 (hourly) (2024-2025 Professional-Technical Salary Schedule)
Position Type/Level: Professional-Technical Level D/E

Must meet certification requirements and continuing education renewal requirements: - Completion of a recognized interpreter training program and minimum 4.0 score on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) and passing score on the written test or
- Interpreting Certificate (NIC) with RID certification and Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) passing score on the written test.
