  The essential role of the Catholic school principal is to provide leadership and vision for the development of an active faith and academic community that provides for the nurturing and complete growth of the children entrusted to their care. This role is best accomplished in collaboration with the sta? and by organization and administration of school resources to achieve this school's established goals.

FAITH COMMUNITY: Fosters a climate of faith community.

Position Summary:
The Head of School is a full-time ministerial position located at Boylan Central Catholic High School in Rockford. Regular business hours are 8:30 AM-4:30 PM. The Head of School serves as the chief executive officer of Boylan Central Catholic High School, reporting directly to the Diocesan Superintendent of Catholic Schools. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION 
 
Key Responsibilities:
1.Mission and Catholic Identity:
 
• Infuse Catholic values into every aspect of school life, including academics, extracurricular activities, and community interactions.
• Oversee liturgical celebrations, prayer life, retreats, and faith formation for students, faculty, and staff.
• Promote a vibrant Catholic identity rooted in the teachings of the Church.
  
2.Academic Excellence:
 
• Supervise the academic leadership team, which may include principals, department heads, and deans.
• Foster excellence in curriculum development, instruction, and assessment, ensuring the integration of Catholic teachings.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  
Qualifications:
 
• Practicing Catholic in good standing with a commitment to the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Master’s degree in education with ISBE Type 75 Licensure.
• Minimum of five years of leadership experience in Catholic education or a related field.

The Associate Superintendent of Schools for Operational Vitality supports the mission of Catholic education by providing leadership and expertise in ensuring the operational sustainability and growth of Catholic schools in the diocese. The Associate Superintendent for Catholic Schools reports to the Superintendent, and collaborates with diocesan Financial Office, Business, Communications, Development, and Safety and Emergency Management Offices to identify best practices and streamline school communications.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
 
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
   • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational vitality in alignment with the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS).
   • Collaborate with school leaders to identify and address challenges related to sustainability, enrollment, and development.
  
2.Financial Oversight:
 
• Support schools in budgeting, financial planning, and management to ensure long-term stability.
• Assist schools in reviewing tuition models, scholarship programs, and fundraising strategies to maximize resources.
 
3.Marketing and Enrollment:
 
• Lead efforts to increase enrollment by developing diocesan-wide marketing strategies, leveraging data-driven approaches.
• Collaborate with schools to create effective recruitment and retention initiatives.
• Provide training and resources for school leaders to build local capacity in enrollment management.
  
4.Communications and Branding:
