240-day position
Salary: $53,744 base salary (based on verified full-time experience and education)
Available: 2024 - 2025 School Year
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or high school equivalent required
• Experience of five (5) years or more in maintenance, construction / custodial work
• Knowledge of mechanical and boiler print drawings
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
• Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License

Responsible To: Director of Operations
Job Goal: To maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times.
Performance Responsibilities:
• Maintain neat appearance, courteous conduct, and work amicably with all school and maintenance personnel
• Examine school buildings on a regular basis for needed repairs and maintenance
• Recommend priorities on repair projects
• Estimate cost of project repairs in terms of labor and material
• Assign and supervise a crew of crafts people for maintenance work
• Plan and inspect work of crew members, assisting if necessary
• Handle emergency repair problems with efficiency
• Prepare reports as required
• Order materials and make recommendations of supplies and equipment to purchase
• Assign work orders and inspect jobs completed
• Perform other related duties as required as well as all other duties as assigned
