   1. Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.

      4. Staff development and supervision of instruction
      5. School law and finance (including special education), and grant writing
      6. Curriculum development, integration of technology, delivery, and assessment

   6. Ability to work with students, staff, parents, and the public.

3. REPORTS TO:  Building Principal.
    
4. JOB GOALS:
   To support the delivery of School District 91's written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement.
   
   To ensure the reflection and communication of a positive image and attitude toward decisions and functions of the district as they relate to the public, staff, parents, and students.
    
5. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
   1. Assists in the general administration of the school and serves as the acting principal when the principal is absent and is so assigned.
   2. Participates in the responsibility for the safety and security of students and all others participating in the educational program of the school.
   3. Participates in the responsibility for the administration and maintenance of the security of the building and its facilities.
   4. Is responsible for working with individual students, teachers, and parents with regard to behavior problems.
   5. Directs the student activity program as it relates to athletics, including budget, supervision, evaluation, and transportation.
   6. Directs the student activity program as it relates to assemblies, student organizations, student body functions, concerts, tours, programs, clubs, etc.
   7. Prepares and directs the school activity schedule.
   8. Assists with the preparation of school policies with special emphasis on student handbooks and policies.
   9. Acts as advisor to the student council.
   10. Assists with the development, evaluation, and revision of the school curriculum.
   11. Assists in the supervision of the building and grounds.
   12. Coordinates the scheduling of the school gymnasium for school and city use.
   13. Directs the school lunch program, including all employees and student workers and arranges for lunchroom supervision.
   14. Coordinates the assignment and administration of all school lockers.
   15. Coordinates the use of faculty keys.
   16. Participates in the supervision and evaluation of the faculty including a review of their teaching techniques, serving as a resource to assist them in improving their overall instruction program and coordinating staff improvement activities between their peers and the school administration.
   17. Shares the responsibility to improve school climate through support of all curricular and non-curricular activities and by maintaining a positive attitude toward school and district policies.
   18. Seeks out opportunities for professional growth.
   19. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information.
        
6. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
   1. Performs all other duties as assigned.
       
7. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

3. Assist the SLP with speech, language, and hearing screenings without clinical interpretation.
4. Assist the SLP during assessment of students exclusive of administration and/or interpretation.
5. If bilingual, assist the SLP with bilingual translation during screening and assessment activities exclusive of interpretation; refer to Issues in Ethics: Cultural and Linguistic Competence (ASHA 2017).
6. Follow documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervising SLP.
7. Provide guidance and treatment via tele practice to students, patients, and clients who are selected by the supervising SLP as appropriate for this service delivery model.
8. Document student performance (e.g., tallying data for the SLP to use; preparing charts, records, and graphs) and report this information to the supervising SLP.
9. Program and provide instruction in the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices.
10. If bilingual, serve as interpreter for students and families who do not speak English.
11. If bilingual, provide services under SLP supervision in another language for individuals who do not speak English and English-language learners.
12. Maintains and submits data for Medicaid billing.
13. Seeks out opportunities for professional growth.
14. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information.

VII.     TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

A.           Helps the teacher provide a well-organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.
B.           Prepares for classroom activities under the supervision of the Teacher.
C.           Works with small groups of students to reinforce materials initially introduced by the teacher.
D.           Assists individual children in need of special attention and children who need consistent behavior management techniques.  
E.            Performs clerical duties relating to their assignment.
F.            Guides independent assignments established by the teacher.
G.           Assists teacher with non-instructional classroom duties.
H.           Checks notebooks, corrects papers, collects data, and supervises testing and make-up work.
I.             Assists in duties relating to the supervision of students as assigned by the Building Principal.
J.            Helps prepare class displays and bulletin boards.
K.           Constructs supplementary materials for use in the classroom under the teacher's supervision.
L.           Strives to improve and maintain job skills through inservice training programs and other means.
M.          Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
N.           Has regular and predictable attendance.

VI.        OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A.           Performs all other duties as assigned.

VII.      TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

        This is a limited-full-time position secheduled for 29 hours per week during the school year (paid hourly if hired after April 1 for the remainder of the school year).  Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 5 $15.91 or $16.69 depending on experience. 
       
This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law.  The "employment at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91.

   6. Stays on assigned route schedule.  Notifies proper authorities when late.
   7. Performs pre-trip inspections of bus before each operation for mechanical/safety defects.  Notifies proper authority in case of mechanical failure.
   8. Picks up and discharges students only at regular stops (school or home stop) unless otherwise authorized.
   9. Exercises responsible leadership when on out-of-district school trips.  Knows and follows District policy for activity runs.
   10. Transports authorized students only.
   11. Reports all accidents and completes required paperwork.
   12. Maintains daily log on District form of pupils transported on the bus.  Hands completed log form to the Transportation Supervisor at the end of each week.  Completes bus log report and pre-trip inspections report.
   13. Completes other forms as required, including but not limited to:  worksheets for computing bus charges for extra runs; monthly reports on bus condition and repair recommendations, certificates of bus evacuation drills, etc.

VII.      ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION SUBSTITUTE BUS DRIVERS:
 
 
 
A.           Knows and follows Appendix P of the Idaho State School Transportation Manual for Special Education Bus Operations.
 
B.           Operates the wheelchair lift.
 
 
 
VIII.   TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
 
 
 
 
 
This is a part-time on call position during the school year.  The rate of pay is a grade 8 $19.48 per hour depending on experience.

         This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time, or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law.  This "employment at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91.
 
 
 
IX.         EVALUATION:
 
        
 
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Transportation Supervisor in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
 
 
 
         This position has been given an overall physical classification of medium duty.
