    QUALIFICATIONS

     
    1. A bachelor’s degree in Language Arts or a related subject area. 
    2. A valid Illinois Certificate Type 09, preferred.
    3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
     
    JOB GOAL:  To develop in each student an understanding and appreciation of language arts especially in the area of literature.
     
    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:  Tutors secondary pupils in language arts, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Education and appropriate curriculum publications as guidelines in addressing individual course content.
     
    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
     
    1. Work Year:  4 hours per day for 140 days or less during the 2024-25 school year.  The exact number of days will depend on the start date of the chosen candidate.
    2. Fringe Benefits:  Not Applicable
    3. Salary:  $130.00 per day
     
    EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated continually on an informal basis.
