    SUMMARY:  Provides 1:1 specially designed instruction to Kindergarten through 12th grade Special Education students with disabilities ( Level 1, Level 2 )  

     

     

     

    EMPLOYMENT DATE: Summer of 2025 starting June 9th-August 8th

     

    HOURS: To be determined

     

    Days: Monday - Thursday

     

    COMPENSATION:   $30/hr

     

    LOCATION: Varies; possibility of meeting at neighborhood schools or library or mutually agreed upon location as determined by family/tutor

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

     
    • Essential Duties must be performed on site. Other duties or tasks may be assigned.

    • Develops and implements programming associated with students with IEP’s to be delivered in a tutoring type setting for students with Extended School year plans as determined by the IEP team. 

    • Supports and implements the district curriculum, standards and benchmarks.

    • Assists Extended School Year staff with strategies to support and meet students’ needs and achievement of academic goals

    • Provides active communication and positive relationships with parents and community members

    • Assists and collaborates with the principal, school counselor, staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to students’ needs.

    • Maintains appropriate records and protects the confidentiality of data.

    • Meets the 8 Iowa Teaching Standards and 42 criteria on a consistent basis

    • Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis

    • Other duties as assigned.
