Secondary Multilingual Learner Teacher/Enrollment Lead

JOB DESCRIPTION AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
? Collaborate with ML teaching team to support student needs and services
? Co-teach and/or support content teachers in providing services to ML students
? Utilize foundations of sheltered instruction to develop lessons and support
content teachers throughout multiple subject matters
? Oversee high school and middle school ML assessments (WIDA screener &
WIDA Access)
? Coordinate with student enrollment stakeholders to assess and place students in courses and services
? Monitor ILP process, compliance, and data for students who are in a two-year
monitoring period
? Manage data within the student management system, cumulative folders, and
building rosters for accuracy
? Assists with and coordinates student transitions between buildings (8th to 9th)
and/or with students new to a school building
? Work alongside instructional assistants to plan and support student needs
? Participate in case conferences with students who are dual enrolled in special
education and ML services
? Works with school test coordinators to ensure student accommodations and
services are provided during testing windows
? Assists with reviewing state and district assessment data to determine program
effectiveness
? Participates in PLC meetings with ML team and/or content teachers
? Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
? The desirable candidate holds a bachelor’s degree
? English Language Learner certification is preferred
? Knowledge and experience in ML programming and best practices are preferred ? The desired candidate demonstrates strong organization and communication skills
? Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, data collection, and databases.
