    SUPERVISES: None    

     

    FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

     

    COMPENSATION: $26.50/Hour

     

    WORK CALENDAR: 180 Days

     

    STANDARD HOURS: To be Determined

     

    CORP STATUS: Classified

     

    PERF: CPCSC is a Non-PERF District

     

     

     

    JOB SUMMARY:
    Under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider (school nurse), the Registered Nurse assists with coordination of student specific procedures. The RN helps maintain a safe learning environment within the school by meeting the needs of assigned students.  

    EDUCATION:
    High School Diploma/GED 

    LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
    Required Certifications/Licensures: Registered Nurse (RN)

    EXPERIENCE: 
    3+ years in RN capacity. 

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
    Works effectively within a team environment 
    Maintains student confidentiality
    Implements Individualized Education Program (IEP) and student health plans
    Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, including listening
    Navigates doctor’s orders to understand proper care for students 
    Physically lifts and/or transfers students while maintaining safety
    Assists with student rest rooming/toileting/diapering 
    Safely and accurately prepares and administers medications and injections under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider (school nurse)
    Administers enteral feedings to students
    Performs basic vital signs of students
    Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
    Experience:
    Acute/Inpatient Experience Strongly Preferred
    Ventilator/Tracheostomy Experience Strongly Preferred
