� Must be 21 years of age.
� High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement).
� 1 Reference Letter (this does not apply to current CCPS staff).
� Basic Life Support Program (First Aid, CPR and AED).
� Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required. NOTE: Coaches who hold current teaching certification do not need to obtain athletic coaching certification.

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:
1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)
2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate
WHO NEEDS IT?
� Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
� Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator�s Certification.
