Assures security and accountability for classroom equipment and supplies.
Attends school-level, district-level, and state-specific professional learning activities as directed.
Completes reports, documentation, duties, and other assignments in a prompt and professional manner.
Complies with state and system-level regulations and policies; including the rules of the Professional Standards Commission Code of Ethics for Educators.
Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
Establishes and maintains industry and post-secondary connections to promote/encourage students’ participation in continuing education opportunities; including Dual Enrollment and Articulation Credit Programs.
Engages, conducts, and documents meeting minutes of an active local CTAE Workforce Development Advisory Committee for the curriculum area’s career-related activities support.
Facilities and coordinates a rigorous curriculum with career-related instruction.
Facilities communication between school and home by such means as holding conferences, telephoning, and sending written communications.
Integrates appropriate technology into classroom instruction.
Maintains class discipline to provide a proper learning environment in the lab and/or classroom.
Maintains professional development competence through ongoing educational and professional development training, as required for certification.
Maintains prompt and professional communication with students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership.
Makes industry connections to promote service-learning, cooperative education, and work-based learning opportunities for students; utilizes advisory committees for regular input.
Manages and maintains the program’s assigned facilities, equipment, software, and supplies, including accurate inventory.
Models enthusiasm for the subject area and demonstrates current innovations in the industry, including competition within the global economy.
Provides adequate information, plans, and materials for substitutes.
Provides a classroom environment which promotes active learning in the subject area.
Provides content-related and appropriate instruction based on state and local curriculum through a combination of classroom, laboratory, and co-curricular experiences.
Provides community-based instruction and projects based on program guidelines and requirements.
Shows initiative and assumes responsibility for all aspects of job responsibilities.
Sponsors/infuses co-curricular student organization (CTSO) experiences to students in the program for the purpose of leadership development, advanced technical skills attainment, workforce readiness preparation, and college career-readiness studies.
Utilizes a variety of teaching strategies and resources appropriate for students assigned to the teacher.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
