DUTIES: - Join the team dedicated to protecting lives and property.
- As a firefighter, you’ll be tackling everything from fighting fires to handling hazardous materials and responding to both man-made and natural disasters.
- You’ll also keep equipment in top shape, maintain the fire station, conduct important inspections, and handle some routine paperwork to keep things running smoothly.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY: - Firefighters must be currently employed with another fire department, and have two (2) consecutive years of full-time paid Firefighter experience.
- Lateral transfers must currently hold all five (5) of the below training /certifications (no exceptions):
- IFSAC Firefighter I, and
- IFSAC Firefighter II, and
- IFSAC Hazardous Materials Awareness, and
- IFSAC Hazardous Materials Operations, and
- NREMT-Basic and/or ability to reciprocate with Kentucky Board of EMS for EMT-Basic certification
- Current CPAT certifications are required at the time of hire for out-of-state applicants, and for in-state applicants that are not members of a fire department participating in the incentive program.
- Out-of-state applicants are required to convert training to Kentucky Fire Commission and Kentucky Board of EMS requirements.
SALARY:
- $55,836; additional $4,300 upon academy completion
- $1,600 additional for EMT certification
HOURS: 24 hr. on/48 hr. off schedule; 7:00 am - 7:00 am
